Industry experts say that biotechnology could help Czech Republic in revolutionizing food production in the country. The implementation of the technology could help the country in continuing with its tradition of producing innovative products. Simon Barber, European Association of Bioindustries stated: There is already a huge amount of interest in the region, so it is very possible that the Czech Republic could one day lead the biotechnology industry. As of now the interest is in the food industry but with passing time one might also see investments in sectors such as agricultural production and food processing. The country has already witnessed some commercial use of GMO crops and analysts predict that investments would be seen in other sectors too.
